A local TV station is in a messy situation after the cloud company it was using to store 70 years’ worth of archival material vanished.

Gizmodo reports that Nine PBS in St. Louis had a rolling annual contract with Open Source Storage (OSS), a cloud storage provider, but when the station went to renew the deal earlier this year, OSS didn’t respond.

On the day the contract expired, Nine PBS suddenly lost access to its data without any warning. That’s when staff there realized

Qian Julie Wang, a graduate of Yale Law School, wrote a moving memoir of her moving from China to Mei Guo as an illegal immigrant at the age of seven. The direct translation of the Chinese word for America gives clue to the memoir's title Beautiful Country .

If you guess the theme is Qian's harrowing hardship of poverty in America, you could not be further from the truth. Her parents used to be university professors in home town, but ended up working in sweatshops and freezing sushi processing

Although the next generation of consoles is right around the corner, the high prices of components, and thus gaming hardware, mean anticipation for the PlayStation 6 and Xbox Project Helix is at an all-time low. At this point, it's not even certain if the new consoles will indeed launch by the end of 2027, as Sony CEO Hiroki Totoki made some interesting, and somewhat foreboding, statements not only about the PlayStation 6 , but also about how the company's business has to change
