Como mayor bans 'beasts' in city centre after being hit by bike
The mayor of Como has banned riding bicycles in certain areas of the historic Italian city after he was hit by an electric one.
Alessandro Rapinese said the ban was necessary to improve public safety. It means from September, cyclists will have to dismount through an area of around 30 streets.
He told Italian news agency Ansa: "People act based on their own experiences and I know what it's like to be hit by one of these beasts."

A 37-year-old Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a series of indecent acts in Markham.
Police in York Region say between June 9 and Aug. 14 of this year, investigators responded to five separate incidents in the McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue area. In each case, women reported being approached by a man who then exposed himself to them.
On Aug. 20, police were conducting proactive patrols in the area and arrested a suspect.

Personal information of current, former SickKids employees accessed in data breach
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) says the personal information of some current and former employees was accessed in a recent cybersecurity incident.
The incident affected their external Careers website and was linked to a “vulnerability in a third-party software application” used by SickKids and other organizations.
The website has since been restored.
An investigation was launched and it was found that the personal information of some current and former SickKids, Boomerang, and SickKids Foundation employees and SickKids job applicants may have been affected.
