What we know so far about the deadly Thailand shooting
At least seven people have died after a 14-year-old boy shot and killed his grandparents and then opened fire on a school in Thailand's capital, Bangkok.
Authorities say the suspect, who was a student at the school, used a handgun belonging to his grandfather in the attacks, before turning the gun on himself.

Spanish police arrest 78 people in bust of 'one of largest' smuggling networks
One of the largest criminal networks smuggling drugs and people in the western Mediterranean has been dismantled, authorities have said.
Europol said 78 people were arrested in Spain and Algeria in a bust of the network, that is also linked to other criminal activities including "violent robberies, extortion, illegal detentions, and money laundering".
The group moved synthetic drugs from Spain and Portugal to Algeria, then used the return journey to smuggle migrants and weapons to the Spanish mainland and island of Ibiza on "ghost speedboats".

It remains unclear exactly why tens of thousands of migrants attempted to cross into Ceuta, but the EU's Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner has suggested criminal networks spreading disinformation were to blame - an assertion the Spanish government has agreed with.
The crossings came after Spain's Supreme Court ruled that migrants stopped at sea while trying to reach Ceuta or Melilla cannot be summarily returned to Morocco.
The two exclaves have long been a bone of diplomatic contention between Spain and Morocco, which does not recognise Spanish sovereignty over them.

At least seven people have been killed and 23 injured after a 14-year-old boy opened fire at his home and school on the outskirts of Thailand's capital, Bangkok.
The gunman - a student at the Debsirin School in Nonthaburi - killed his grandparents and five teachers before taking his own life, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul told reporters. The attacker still had "more than 30 bullets left" when he turned the gun on himself, Anutin added.

Mexico and Peru restore diplomatic relations after asylum row
Peruvian Foreign Minister Carlos Espá told local media outlet RPP that Chávez had been granted safe passage and had "already left Peru".
While allowed to travel to Mexico, Peru maintains the right "to request the eventual extradition" of Chávez, the Peruvian Foreign Ministry added in a statement.

On Friday morning, as the final classes of the week were under way, panicked students began streaming out of a prestigious school just outside Bangkok.
Inside, police say, a 14-year-old boy had opened fire.
"I was standing in front of the teacher when she was shot," a shaken seventh grader tells the BBC, near the gates of Debsirin School in Nonthaburi. "She was talking to me when [the gunman] showed up."
