Good news first: The Sony A1II, A7VI, A6700 price remains unchanged – hurray! 🎉

Now the bad news: Almost every other Sony camera and lens just went up in price — with hikes of up to $400!

A source just shared thew first two leaked images of the new Sony A7V . From the image on top we learn:

• Has same 4 way fully articulating screen of the Sony A1II
• Same control wheel of the Sony A1II
• The top right plate is the same of the A7IV and it does NOT have the Sony A1II/A9III grip design

From the image below it appears the camera has a 33MP sensor:

A new source just sent me images and a video of the new Sony A7V . He requested me to not post the entire images and now I asked me if I can share some “crops” of those images. I am awaiting his answer and if he agrees I will publish the images ASAP. All I can say for now is that indeed the A7V is very close to the look of the predecessor .

Main takeaways:

• Image quality: The Nikon ZR offers more detail, dynamic range, and easier color grading (especially with RED RAW) compared to the FX3 . FX3 still wins in H.265 shooting.
• Autofocus: Both are strong, with the ZR marking a breakthrough for RED cameras.
• Slow motion: FX3 has no crop at 4K/120p, but ZR can record 4K/120p
