WILD RUMOR: Will Sony announce an updated 400mm f/2.8 lens in 2025
A source just told me that Sony plans to announce a new updated version of the current 400mm f/2.8 GM lens . Apparently the aim is to make it better than the competition like the Nikon 400mm 2.8 . The lens was announce back in 2018 so an update is certainly possible to happen in 2025.

Viltrox teases the launch of two new E-mount “AIR” lenses in August
Viltrox will launch two new E-mount lenses in August. They will be from the “AIR” compact autofocus lens series. Currently Viltrox already offers the 20mm f/2.8 AF FE lens . My guess is that we will get E-mount version of their Z and X mount AIR lenses that are yet not available as E-mount option. These would be the 56mm f/1.7 APSC and the 40mm f/2.5 Full Frame lens .

Meike will soon announce this new 35mm f/2.0 Full Frame autofocus E-mount lens. There will be also a Z and L-mount version of this. There is yet no info about pricing but this should cost a bit less than $200 like some similar lenses they already sell on Amazon and on their Global Store .
