Like in previous years also in 2022 Sony kept the first place in the CMOS sensor market. Their share in 2022 was 42%:

New June CIPA data shows camera market has sort of bottomed out

CIAP collects the worldwide camera shipments from Japanese companies. The June data is in and shipments were on par with those of the two previous years. Let’s see how things will go this autumn…

First rumors about a new GM lens coming along the new A7cII

One new source told me that Sony will also announce a new GM lens along the A7cII (Note: Still don’t know if A7cII and A7cR will be announced both on the same day or not).

The source didn’t want to get into any trouble and therefore didn’t share the specs of the lens. But he said the lens is ideal as a “gimbal” lens . Which leads me to believe this might be the new 16-35mm
