Asobinet spotted a newly published Tamron patent which describes an APP that let’s you take over the control of a Tamron lens. Because you cannot connect directly the Sony camera with the Tamron APP the patent describes how you connect the lens with a USB cable or Bluetooth with the smartphone APP. This would likely work through their already existing Lens utility APP .

This is the new Laowa 10x to 50x super macro lens that has just been announced in China. There is no English press nor pricing info outside China. All we know is that the whole set ( lens + full set of 4 tube lenses ) is priced 8999 Yuan (roughly $1250). It will be available in different mounts including E-mount.
