Australian distributor confirms that Zeiss is exiting the Photo Business: No more Batis, Loxia, Milvus or Otus lenses!

Back on Apr 24, 2019 Zeiss announced their last photo lens, the Otus 100mm f/1.4 . Since then we got Cine professional lenses but no more classic lenses for photographers.

A member of the Fredmiranda forum shared the following news:

Hi all, I just had confirmation today from the Australian distributor, that Zeiss are discontinuing all of their still lenses and filters: no more Loxia, Batis etc.
End of an era

This means Zeiss no more producing Batis, Loxia


Here are the five crazy E-mount lenses that Sony should definitely make as their next goals!

I have a list of five lenses Sony should consider to launch in the next 2-3 years:

  • Sony 40mm f/1.4 GM
  • Sony 55mm f/0,95 GM
  • Sony 24-180mm f/2.8-5.6
  • Sony 24-70mm f/2.0
  • Sony 70-200mm f/2.0

Just released: New Topaz Photo AI 1.3.7

Topaz just released the new Photo AI updated which you can get with a new $40 discount (Click here) . The updates are:

  • Removed legacy models setting from preferences
  • Autopilot can now recommend the older Sharpen Lens Blur model again
  • Remove Noise v2 models have dropped their beta tag and are now recommended by default by Autopilot
  • Added Nvidia GPU models for Remove Noise v2 models
  • Changed close image shortcut to be Ctrl+W instead of Ctrl+F4 on Windows
  • Selecting Custom aspect ratio will now automatically unlock the aspect

Tony & Chelsea Northrup ask Sony to implement smartphone software on their E-mount cameras
