Canon announced the new R100 ( here at BHphoto and Amazon ). As you know the entry level system camera market is being totally being eaten up by the smartphone world. Sony has no more any sub $500 camera on the market with the A6000 being discontinued and the A6100 being the most affordable E-mount camera with a $748 price tag.

The Sandisk has a bug on some late 2022 produced items but they promised to deliver a firmware update to fix this.

The Internet is going a bit wild on this allegedly “leaked” image of a Canon R1 prototype (Source: Twitter ). I believe this us super unlikely to be the R1. But what’s sure is that the R1 will hit the market in 2024…and compete with the A1 and likely alos the new A1II that might be announced in 2024.
Small correction on my previous ZV1II spec list. The new ZV1II will have a new 18-50mm and not 18-70mm lens as previously reported. I misinterpreted a message I got from my trusted source. So this mistake is on me!
But I also got some additional info about the camera that will be announced tomorrow:
