NBA investigating second Kawhi Leonard endorsement deal: report
The Kawhi Leonard investigation may be wider than previously known.
A second endorsement deal has come under the microscope as part of the NBA’s probe, The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov reported on Tuesday.
The Leonard investigation was previously thought to be solely centred on a no-show endorsement deal with Aspiration, an environmental bank.
However, a second endorsement deal is now being looked into. The NBA is also investigating whether the Los Angeles Clippers improperly covered expenses for Leonard.

An Ontario cabinet minister who represents a north Toronto riding promised Tuesday to reimburse more than $16,000 in Toronto hotel expenses.
Stan Cho, who serves as the minister of tourism, culture and gaming and represents the riding of Willowdale, cited so-called special circumstances in claiming hotel accommodations multiple times since 2023.
The expenses were first reported by Global News and prompted criticism from opposition parties, who called it an abuse of taxpayer dollars.

TTC Line 2 reopens after fire disrupts service
A fire briefly shut down a portion on one of Toronto’s subway lines on Tuesday.
Shortly after 4 p.m., the TTC announced that service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth was closed between St. George and Broadview stations due to a fire.
Shuttle buses were sent to transport passangers.
Service on Line 2 reopened just before 4:30 p.m.

Toronto man, 37, charged with manslaughter in opioid overdose
A man from Toronto is facing charges for manslaughter in connection with the overdose of a 37-year-old man in St. Catharines earlier this year.
Officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service were called to a home in the area of Lloyd Street and Rykert Street on January 28, 2026, for reports of a sudden death.
Detectives believed the unnamed individual died as a result of a drug overdose and launched an investigation into the criminal activity and drug trafficking that allegedly contributed to their death.
