Man critically injured in early morning Brampton crash

A man has suffered critical injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Brampton.

Police in Peel Region say the crash occurred in the area of Castlemore Road and McVean Drive just after midnight.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available.

Paramedics tell CityNews a man in his 60s was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

DUBLIN — Prime Minister Mark Carney is in Ireland where he will drum up business and investment with European peers and visit his ancestors’ home on the Emerald Isle.

Carney arrived in Dublin Saturday morning, where he will meet with Micheál Martin, Ireland’s head of government, and attend a welcoming ceremony at Dublin Castle.

Woman mauled by shark off Sydney beach grabs onto a lifeguard’s paddleboard

Two fans arrested during FIFA World Cup match in Toronto

Two men were arrested at Toronto Stadium on Friday moments before a FIFA World Cup match between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina was set to kickoff.

Police say they were alerted to an altercation happening in the stands at approximately 2:20 p.m.

“When officers attempted to eject a fan from the stadium, items were thrown at them,” authorities wrote in a statement. “Additional officers were deployed to assist, and the situation was subsequently brought under control.”
