PARIS (AP) — Paris police detained 45 people after violence disrupted celebrations late Saturday of Paris Saint-Germain’s second Champions League title win and a group tried to storm a police station in the French capital.

Fans began celebrating in Paris after the final whistle earlier in the evening in Budapest, Hungary, where PSG won by beating Arsenal on penalties in a dramatic final.

Crews cleaning fuel spill at Billy Bishop Airport

Fire crews were called to Billy Bishop Airport on Saturday afternoon for reports of a fuel spill.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found a truck flipped on its side.

“Crews stopped the leak and implemented containment measures,” Toronto Fire Services wrote in a social media post shared just before 5:30 p.m. “HazMat teams are coordinating capture and removal of the contained fuel.”

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A court in the Turks and Caicos Islands has sentenced former Premier Michael Misick to just over four years in prison after he was convicted in a landmark corruption case that had dragged on for years.

Misick was arrested in December 2012 in Brazil, after his application for political asylum was rejected there. He was accused of corruption, misusing public money and profiting from the sale of government-owned land to developers.

Man, 20, charged with attempted murder in Brampton shooting

Peel Regional Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a shooting that happened earlier this month in Brampton.

Authorities say Jessen Ebini-Kingue was arrested on May 24 and charged with attempted murder following a shooting that took place in an underground parking garage near Silver Maple Court on May 13.

According to investigators, one person was shot and transported to a local trauma centre with serious injuries. Their current condition was not immediately known.

Ebini-Kingue was held for a bail hearing.

Brampton man dead following multi-vehicle crash in Mississauga

A Brampton man is dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police say just after midnight, two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in a crash on the southbound lanes of Highway 410 near Derry Road East.

The pedestrian who was struck, a 48-year-old man from Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
