Police hunt underway for driver who fled the scene of a Scarborough crash

Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Scarborough on Monday.
Officers were called to the area of Pharmacy and Eglinton Avenues at approximately 11:41 a.m. for reports of a car crash.
One driver sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, police say the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
That car is described as a white cargo van and is wanted by police.

A man in his 60s was rushed to a hospital on Monday afternoon after getting hit by a car in Toronto’s Cabbagetown neighbourhood.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Parliament and Wellesley streets just after 12:15 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Authorities say the man was transported to a hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.

Fire at Mimico investigated as suspected arson

Toronto Fire Services responded to a blaze at a business in the Mimico neighbourhood early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the area of Lake Shore Boulevard and Albert Avenue just before 5 a.m.
Officials say the fire was put out and no injuries were reported.
It is being investigated as suspected arson, though the circumstances leading up to the fire were not immediately clear.
No suspect descriptions were provided.

Shots fired at Scarborough home, Toronto police say

Toronto police are investigating after a Scarborough home was shot at early Monday morning.
The shooting happened in a residential neighbourhood near Birchmount Road and St. Clair Avenue East just after 2:30 a.m.
Detectives say the house was damaged and evidence of gunfire was located at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Police have not released any suspect information and say that an investigation is ongoing.
