Man shot in Toronto’s Dovercourt Village neighbourhood
Toronto police are investigating after a man was shot outside of a building in the city’s Dovercourt Village neighbourhood.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Bloor Street and Dovercourt Road just after 5 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
One man was transported to a hospital by paramedics for treatment. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
No other details were immediately available.

A man in his 60s has suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton.
Police in Peel Region say the incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the eastbound lanes of Bovaird Drive, just east of Highway 410.
Investigators say the pedestrian was crossing the road in-between lights and not at a cross-walk when they were struck by the eastbound car.
The man was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre in critical condition.

From the sounds of Soca music to the vibrant masqueraders, the streets along Toronto’s waterfront came alive with one of the biggest celebrations of Caribbean culture and independence on Saturday with the annual Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade.
“We are having the best day, it is amazing weather. We just love the culture, we are having the time of our lives honestly,” said a trio of parade participants, who echoed the sentiments of most of those taking part.
