Toronto man, 45, charged following anti-Muslim tirade
A Toronto man is facing several charges in connection with a hate-motivated harassment investigation in the downtown core.
According to police, 45-year-old Reginald Cuff approached a victim on July 19 near Bond and Shuter Streets, and allegedly repeated anti-Muslim comments during an unprovoked interaction.
“The victim attempted to walk away, but the accused followed them while continuing to make threats,” police wrote in a press release issued on Saturday.

A 62-year-old pedestrian was rushed to a hospital Friday evening after getting struck by a TTC streetcar.
Emergency crews were called to the area of King Street East and St. Lawrence Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. for reports of a personal injury collision.
Investigators say the pedestrian proceeded to walk northbound on the roadway when they were struck by the 504 King streetcar as it was travelling eastbound.

A man was rushed to a hospital late Friday night after being struck by a pickup truck near Veld music festival.
According to Toronto police, a 57-year-old man was driving a 2024 Dodge Ram through a grass parking lot near Downsview Park following a concert.
Detectives say a 29-year-old pedestrian was lying on the grass in the parking lot at approximately 11:35 p.m. when they were struck by the truck.

A person has died following a serious crash on Highway 400 in North York.
Emergency crews were called to the area before 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
All northbound lanes of the highway are closed at Finch Avenue for an investigation.
