LONDON (AP) — In the middle of a brutal rampage in which he fatally stabbed two college students and a 65-year-old man, Valdo Calocane phoned his brother to tell him it was the last time they would speak and he should leave Britain with their family, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
When his brother asked if he was planning something stupid, Calocane replied: “It is already done.”

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland’s president said Tuesday he was once again pardoning two politicians earlier this month amid a bitter standoff between the new centrist government and the previous conservative administration.
President made the announcement shortly after the new justice minister refused Duda’s motion for a pardon procedure to be applied to two senior opposition members who served in the previous right-wing government until December. Duda is closely aligned with the Law and Justice party that ruled then.

Rapper YFN Lucci pleads guilty to gang charge after reaching deal with prosecutors
ATLANTA (AP) — Rapper YFN Lucci pleaded guilty Tuesday to a gang-related charge after reaching a deal with prosecutors nearly three years after he was in Atlanta.
The rapper, whose given name is Rayshawn Bennett, was one of a dozen people charged in a wide-ranging indictment targeting alleged members of the Bloods gang in April 2021. He in January of that year after police said he was the driver in a gang-related drive-by shooting that killed a man.

MONTREAL — Nuvei Corp. has signed a partnership deal with software company Adobe to provide customers access to its payment technology.
Financial terms of the agreement were not immediately available.
The company says the partnership will allow businesses operating on Adobe Commerce to simplify payments and expand into new markets.
Jason Knell, senior director of content and commerce partnerships at Adobe, says the deal will help Adobe Commerce provide merchants with greater flexibility.

A 19-year-old Quebec woman who was killed in her apartment nearly 24 years ago suffered multiple injuries and ultimately died of strangulation, a pathologist told a jury on Tuesday.
Dr. Caroline Tanguay took the stand in the Saguenay, Que., murder trial of Marc-André Grenon, who is charged with the first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault of Guylaine Potvin.

Cap on student visas could wreak financial havoc on Ontario universities, says rep
OTTAWA — The Council of Ontario Universities says the newly announced cap on international student admissions is unfairly punishing responsible institutions alongside bad actors in the post-secondary sector.
