France fines Amazon $35 million for ‘excessively intrusive’ monitoring of warehouse staff
PARIS (AP) — France’s privacy watchdog said Tuesday that it slapped ‘s French warehouse business with a 32 million euro fine ($35 million) for using an “excessively intrusive system” to monitor worker performance and activity.
The French Data Protection Authority, also known by its acronym CNIL, said the system allowed managers at Amazon France Logistique to track employees so closely that it resulted in multiple breaches of the European Union’s stringent privacy rules, called the General Data Protection Regulation.

MONTREAL — A judge has approved a class-action lawsuit that accuses Quebec’s health network of failing to protect long-term care centres during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic and causing avoidable suffering and death to thousands of residents.

GTA under winter weather travel advisory with snow expected to impact afternoon commute
A winter weather travel advisory has ended in Toronto and across the GTA as several centimetres of snow fell and slowed down the afternoon and evening commute on Tuesday.
Environment Canada issued the advisory warning of snow that began around noon, pushed into the region and impacted travel throughout the day.
