A driver was airlifted to a trauma centre on Friday afternoon following a serious two-vehicle collision in Mississauga, police say.

Emergency crews were called to the Erindale area, near Dundas Street West and Cedarglen Gate, just before 2:45 p.m.

Authorities say one car hit a pole and then flipped over.

One driver was airlifted to a local trauma centre and another person was transported to a hospital by paramedics.

An investigation is ongoing.

York Regional Police are looking for a man in connection with a firearms manufacturing investigation in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Police received information about the alleged manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms at a home in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and began an investigation into firearms trafficking.

A warrant was executed at the home and officers seized items connected to manufacturing 3D-printed firearms, including parts for several handguns and rifles as well as ammunition and prohibited devices.

There are 177 active wildfires still burning in Ontario, but the Ministry of Natural Resources has reported no new blaze in the last 24 hours.

Still, more than 1,800 people have been forced from their homes as the province grapples with what early estimates suggest is its most devastating wildfire season on record.
