iPadOS 19’s menu bar will fix a key productivity problem for me

iPadOS 19 will be unveiled right about six weeks from now , not too far off at all. And one rumored addition, a Mac-style menu bar, is set to upgrade iPad productivity in several ways—including one that I’m especially excited about.

Yesterday leaker Majin Bu shared that iPadOS 19 will introduce a menu bar to the iPad for the first time.

Per his mockup, it looks like Apple plans to more or less replicate the menu bar’s functionality on the Mac.

By 2027, Apple to import all iPhones sold in the US from India, rather than China

In the wake of the recent tariffs debacle, both and are reporting that Apple aims to manufacture import almost all of its iPhones sold in the United States from India, rather than China, by the end of next year.

This means Apple would need India to make more than 60 million phones a year, in order to satisfy its domestic sales. Overall India iPhone assembly would have to approximately double to meet this target, to about 80 million per year.

Apple removing key robotics team from John Giannandrea’s oversight

Apple is preparing another leadership shakeup, this time for its secretive robotics team. that Apple is shifting its robotics team from AI chief John Giannandrea to John Ternus, its Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering.

This move comes just a month after Apple removed Siri from Giannandrea’s oversight after Tim Cook “lost confidence in the ability” of the former Google executive to “execute on product development.” Siri is now led by Mike Rockwell, the creator of Apple Vision Pro, who reports to software boss Craig Federighi.


iPhone Fold could be the real reason for this surprising iOS 19 rumor
