German court orders Tesla to stop cutting down trees for its latest Berlin Gigafactory

What just happened? After a lower court ruled last week in Tesla's favor, allowing the company to clear forest land for its Gigafactory in Grünheide, Berlin, a local environmental group appealed the decision in Germany's higher administrative court of Berlin-Brandenburg on Sunday and got Tesla to temporarily halt groundwork for its manufacturing plant.

Back in November, Tesla announced plans for its fourth Gigafactory that would be built in Germany, making it the US automaker's first European plant. While the decision was welcomed

Current-gen console sales take a hammering as PS5 and Xbox Series X approach

In a nutshell: There’s plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, with many fans already saving up to buy one of the machines, but it's having a negative effect on the video game industry. According to new figures, sales of the PS4 and Xbox One plummeted last month, down 35 percent compared to one year earlier.

Market analysts NPD Group reported that video game hardware sales in the US were at $129 million in January, $7

Apple reportedly working on its own 5G antenna for 2020 iPhones

The big picture: 5G connectivity seems to be ready for prime time as the tech is widely expected to officially debut this fall on Apple's trendsetting iPhones. While the 2020 models will be using the industry-standard Snapdragon X55 chip to boast faster network speeds (along with a higher price tag), Apple is reportedly developing an in-house alternative to Qualcomm's antenna in its 5G modem on account of the latter's design being too big for Cupertino's sleek

Galaxy Z Flip test shows its 'Ultra Thin Glass' display is easily damaged

Why it matters: It’s no secret that foldable phones aren’t the most sturdy of devices. With Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip, however, there was hope that its extra-thin glass would be tougher than the easily scratched plastic displays found on similar handsets. But a new YouTube video suggests this isn’t the case.

Zack Nelson put the Galaxy Z Flip through one of JerryRigEverything ’s durability tests, and it wasn’t a great showing. The glass doesn’t stand up to

Nvidia teases limited edition Cyberpunk 2077-themed GPU

Something to look forward to: Cyberpunk 2077 is arguably the most-anticipated game of 2020, especially on PC, where gamers will likely be able to pump up the graphical settings and get better performance or visuals. The futuristic RPG is sure to be a demanding title if the gameplay we've seen so far is anything to go by, and Nvidia now wants to make sure you have the right hardware for the job.

In a brief (and undoubtedly staged) Twitter exchange that took

Nvidia supercharges core counts with new MX350 and MX330 laptop GPUs

In a nutshell: Nvidia has quietly unveiled two new budget laptop graphics cards, the Pascal-based MX350 and MX330. The former carries a core count of 640 and the latter 384, which is two-thirds more and a half more than the preceding MX250 and MX230, respectively. The new pair won’t be breaking any performance records, but their spec sheet improvements suggest an immense surge in value.

The GeForce MX series typically

Intel's 10th-gen processors haven't been announced, but they are for sale

What just happened? Intel has sent out a wave of engineering sample processors, a few dozen of which are (allegedly) available for purchase on Taobao. If they actually shipped you one, then you’d be getting some very powerful hardware: those same engineering samples are beating their predecessors by 15-20% in a handful of online benchmarks.

Intel’s tenth generation processors aren’t confirmed, yet there’s little mystery surrounding them. In late December, Informatica Cero obtained slides detailing the

Activision Blizzard's games were pulled from GeForce Now due to a "misunderstanding," Nvidia says

In context: A couple of days ago, we reported on Activision Blizzard's decision to pull its game catalog from Nvidia's newly-launched (for the public) "GeForce Now" game streaming service. However, new information suggests there might be more to the story -- Nvidia now says the whole situation was the result of a "misunderstanding" between itself and Activision Blizzard.

Apparently, Activision Blizzard's games were allowed to be on GeForce Now -- but only during the Beta. When the
