Nintendo has confirmed new battery-related revisions for selected Nintendo products in Europe. The changes are being introduced ahead of European battery regulations coming into effect in mid-February 2027.
According to Nintendo, revised products will contain user-replaceable batteries . The company says there is no difference in functionality between current products and the revised versions. The rollout will begin this summer and continue through autumn, winter, and early 2027.
Microsoft is starting what Xbox CEO Asha Sharma calls the largest restructuring in Xbox history. The company plans to reduce the Xbox team by around 3,200 roles throughout FY27.
The first round begins today with around 1,600 role eliminations. The Verge reports that Microsoft is laying off 4,800 employees across the company today, with more than 30% of those cuts affecting Xbox.
