• Sony 100-400mm f/4.5 GM

Yes, the aperture is f/4.5, not f/4.0 as previously reported by the leaker HowToFly . This leaker has usually been very reliable in recent years, but this time he was off by 1/3 of a stop. No big deal—the lens will still perform incredibly well, and a source actually showed me the real images from the lens. Unfortunately for you, he asked me NOT to publish those images, but at least I can tell you the following:

• Switches moved back very close to the mount
• Collar Knob moved forward towards focus ring
• aperture and focus ring gap is extremely narrow and barely has space for the focal length markings

I’m not exactly sure when the announcement will be made, but we should be getting this gear around mid-May. So far, I haven’t heard anything about the possible 16–28 mm f/2.0 GM lens. Hopefully it will be announced too!
