Damn, folks… I’ve got a ton of great news to share with you today! The Sony A7rVI, which will be announced next week on May 13 at 3pm London time, is shaping up to become a near-perfect Alpha camera.

Trusted sources told me this:
- Sony A7rVI has 30fps. Basically a Sony A1II on steroids considering it is using the higher resolution 67MP stacked sensor!
- Sony A7rVI has pre-capture: Again…why should you buy the $2000 more expensive Sony A1II now?
- Sony A7rVI has a new menu layout!
- Sony A7rVI works with a new generation of higher capacity Sony batteries!
I know some of you might not be thrilled about having to buy new batteries for the A7rVI. But if this new generation brings significant benefits, I welcome the innovation. I’m also very curious to see what Sony has done with the menu system. The current one feels quite chaotic… I hope they’ve finally found the magic recipe for it!

- Very similar Sony A1II specs when it comes to speed and video performance
- All the goodies we have seen on the new Sony A7V (AI functions, IBIS, autofocus and so forth)
- Us price around $5000 and European closer to €5,500
