Let’s first compare the size of this sensor with our well know Full Frame format:

The sensor area is 123% larger than Full Frame and 33.5% larger than the sensor in use by the Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X2D medium format cameras.

This is a massive release from Sony and a step closer to my dream of a true 645 format (56 × 41.5 mm) medium format sensor on Sony cameras.
