Sony registered a new camera in Indonesia . However, a few days later, the registration was removed (and I don’t know why this happened).
The camera carried the code “ WW308784 ” and was classified in the “Digital Camera” category. This suggests it is a fixed-lens model, as Sony E-mount cameras are always registered under the “Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera” category.
The registration also indicated that the camera is manufactured in China.
Sony currently has a total of three unreleased camera models registered in China and Indonesia:
- WW679475 which is likely to be the new FX3II. Registered in China on April 24. Has WIFI6 support which indicates it’s a more high end model
- WW721795 registered in China on April 24. Has NO WIFI6 support which indicates it’s a more entry to mid level model. We also know it uses the FZ100 battery (Could be A6900 or a ZV-E1II)
- WW308784 registered in Indonesia on May 29. It’s a fixed lens camera, could be a RX100VIII or new ZV entry level model
None of these models is a new A7sIV or A9III or A7cIIII or A7cRII. That’s for sure. But we might get a new Full Frame Alpha camera in Ocotber-November!
