
Last week I told you that soon Sony will announce a new FX model that is not going to be named FX3II. E8M on Weibo writes:
The FX* model is a modular camera that adopts an FX3 -like style but moves away from standard Alpha camera design language. Its body layout and button configuration are more professional; the right side abandons the traditional Alpha button arrangement. The most noticeable change is the removal of the standard directional control wheel in favor of an “Enter” dial based on the design philosophy of the VENICE and BURANO —solidifying its identity as a genuine Cinema Line product. The threaded mounting points on the FX* model differ from those on the FX3. The top of the modular body supports an XLR handle, an external EVF, and SDI expansion. It requires a new peripheral setup, meaning existing camera cages are incompatible.

Seems like we are getting a FX3 successor on steroids. Hope the price isn’t inflated too :)
