A trusted source (THANKS MAN!) shared the full detailed recording formats of the upcoming new Sony FX5. Let’s kick of with the big news. It records in X-OCN LT format which is the same format in use on this $25000 Sony camera ! Here is what’s new on the Sony FX5 internal RAW formats:
- Newly developed C1 and C2 offer higher compression ratios than X-OCN LT.
- C1 and C2 enable recording of high-quality 16-bit images in smaller file sizes, reducing file transfer times and storage requirements.
- X-OCN offers greater post-production grading flexibility compared to 10-bit or 12-bit ProRes formats.
