Regarding the professional camcorder “FX5,” which was announced as having a release date of “August 21, 2026 (Friday)” in the press release on July 22, 2026 (Wednesday), we regret to inform you that the release will be postponed due to production issues. In addition, the release of related accessories “DVF-EL1,” “XLR-H2,” and “VMC-BNCU1” will also be postponed.
We will inform you of the new release dates as soon as they are confirmed.

From what I heard, EU and USA stores didn’t get an exact shipment start date. Sony managers generally said that cameras will be shipped out in September. But that Japanese statement makes me wonder if there will be further delays.
