A SAR readers (Thanks TIM) sent me this interesting tidbit:

they had one FX5 in stock in the Netherlands, I wanted to order it, but they told me it was open box cause Sony asked them to check something… So I found that suspicious and didnt order it.

So it looks like a small first batch of cameras was already shipped to EU stores but Sony halted the sales. I am a bit worried about when Sony actually will be able to fix the issues and start to ship out the cameras :(

I’ve realized that some of the pilots in the Polish Air Force are using Sony Alpha gear. In the last short you can even see Sony FX5 which is surprising, as there is no official deliveries yet. youtube.com/shorts/ngJMpUOexnE
