43rumors leaked the images and specs of the new OM-1 Micro Four Thirds camera that will be announced on Feb 15. the interesting bit for use is that it uses the new 20mp IMX472 Quad Pixel sensor from Sony (You can download the PDF here ).

If I got it right the OM-1 will have a high dynamic range mode that allows to combine 4 pixels in 1 and create a 5Mp image with 2 stops of dynamic range gain. I know 5MP images are quite small, that’s why I wonder if a 102MP A7rV with Quad Pixel sensor would be a good idea. You could still create 25MP images featuring a stunning DR! I am probably only dreaming :)
