Canon announced the new R100 ( here at BHphoto and Amazon ). As you know the entry level system camera market is being totally being eaten up by the smartphone world. Sony has no more any sub $500 camera on the market with the A6000 being discontinued and the A6100 being the most affordable E-mount camera with a $748 price tag.

So it’s interesting to see that Canon is still trying ot be present in this very affordable niche segment. Don’t believe Sony will ever make a super cheap A5xxx camera again…
