NYA spotted a second new Sony camera registration in China. This means we now have two “professional” cameras that will be announced soon!
- Back on September 4 Sony registered a camera with the code “WW559681”
- And the new addition has been registered on September 20 with the code “WW459276”
- Those are “professional” cameras because both have 5.1MHz support. Low end Sony models usually only have 2.4MHz support
- We know from the past history that cameras get announced between 2,5 and 4 months after being registered in China. This would mean that both models will be announced between November and January!
- Sony A7sIII successor (medium chance)
- Sony A1 successor (super low chance)
- New “facelift” model of the A7IV or A7rV (just like it happened with the Sony A7IIIa and Sony A7rIVa )
- New RX high end camera
- bit unlikely…but maybe ZV-E10II (even if original ZV-E10 only had 2.4MHz support)
