There is an interesting story that might tell us a lot about the future of the camera market. I contacted many well known store managers and asked them to give me an idea of the Fuji X100VI preorder numbers . The camera is selling about 50x times more than the Sony A7cII / A7cR combined and 35x times more than the Nikon ZF .
I thought about the possible reason of this incredible success in my latest video. In short:
- Nowadays all cameras are good from a tech point of view. Manufacturers should therefore focus on 1) camera style 2) usability 3) film styles
- The younger generation wants to step up from smartphone photography and wants to buy gear they fiend beautiful and easy to use
A new vintage looking RX lineup could come close to the Fuji X100VI sales success….What do you think?
