I got very good news for you! A couple of sources (Thanks!) confirmed the new Sony 28-70mm f/2.0 GM lens is surprisingly compact. Here is the info I got:
- 86mm filter size ( Canon is 95mm and Sony 2470GMII is 82mm)
- Weight is around 900g (Canon is 1430g and 2470GMII is 695g)
- Size similar to this lens
- IQ and AF performance superior to the Canon
- Price around $3000 (to be confirmed)
I think this lens will find quite some love from the community…don’t you agree?
