An anonymous source just sent me this image of the 28-70mm f/2.0 GM lens. I have yet not been able to confirm if this is real or not. What do you think about this?

Hard to get a real idea of the size of this lens with the had cut off. That “FE 2” looks a bit overblown…don’t know if it’s because it’s a prototype or because of a weird compression-angle from the JPG image. Maybe some of my trusted sources can confirm if this is the real deal or not?

Sony 28-70mm f/2.0 specs :

• 86mm filter size ( Canon is 95mm and Sony 2470GMII is 82mm)
• Weight is around 900g (Canon is 1430g and 2470GMII is 695g)
• Size similar to this lens
• IQ and AF performance superior to the Canon
• Price around $3000 (to be confirmed)
