There are rumors on Weibo about a completely new Chinese company that wants to launch a new f/1.2 full-frame autofocus E-mount lens. Again, this is not a well-known company like Viltrox , 7Artisans , Laowa , Meike or others that we already know.

I find it impressive how many Chinese manufacturers are now building autofocus lenses. Some of these lenses, such as the Viltrox FE lenses , are of extremely high quality. Now there are only two major hurdles for them:

• Building good ZOOM lenses with autofocus (this is difficult because of the more complex autofocus algorithm)
• Produce their own cameras with native E-mount or NEW-mount

Back to the new company: it takes quite a courage to start with a f/1.2 FE AF lens. I hope they nail it!
