Image on top shows the “old” Sigma 800mm f/5.6 lens
Last week a Weibo source , reported that Sigma might announce a new 800mm f/6.3 full-frame E/L mount lens at the CP+ show.
Today, a trusted source told me that it is very likely that this rumor could turn out to be true. Sigma has invited a number of influencers to a special event in Japan. So there will definitely be a big announcement before the CP+ show!
So it looks more likely than ever that by end of this month we will have two 800mm FE lenses, the Sony 400-800mm f/6.3-8.0 and the Sigma 800mm f/6.3 .
