KaSe just announced the new 85mm f/1.4 full-frame autofocus lens. It has a 10-group 13-element structure, 13 aperture blades, a lightweight design, a metal lens body, and weighs only about 580g (62g less than the Sony 85mm f/1.4 GMII ). The minimum focusing distance is 0.7 meters. It has two custom buttons. FN1 can be set as a function key. FN2 short press returns to the minimum focusing distance of 0.7 meters, and long press returns to the set focusing distance. The magnetic lens cover adopts KaSe’s innovative design, which can be used with KaSe magnetic filters.
Pricing and availability still not known. But this really looks like a nice compact portrait lens.
