As we all know, Canon has sold a lot of 100-300mm f/2.8 lenses . I had hoped that Sony would respond quickly and release an E-mount version soon. But it looks like they’re too late and will now be beaten by Nikon as well. Here are the first leaked images of the new Nikon 120-300mm f/2.8 lens.

One reason this lens is so popular is that its constant aperture offers sports photographers tremendous flexibility. Now, Sony will release a 100-400mm f/4.0 GM lens as next. So I guess we still have to wait a long time before they will make a f/2.8 GM version :(
