Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey – and Family

Nick Cannon - I'm a Daddy!
Now here's a music star (and TV show host) I can sympathize with:

"The greatest gift on earth is a child" ...

Would you like to a dad? "I mean, yeah, that's the purpose of union and gettin' married, to have a family . We'd love to expand!"

Nick is also known for his pro-life rap video Can I Live (definitely worth a watch

Radiant Sunshine through Clouds [iPhone 4 Photo]

Beautiful Sky - Taken with iPhoto 4

Photo of the sky with sunlight peering through clouds, as seen in Shrewsbury, MO. This is actually almost exactly how the scene looked IRL, which is a high praise of the iPhone 4's camera and HDR abilities—it's not so pronounced as to take the natural beauty out of a photo, but enough to strengthen the contrast ratio a bit.

The iPhone 4 is a great video camera , professional audio recorder , photo camera, and mobile Internet access device. I'm glad to be an

XLR over Cat5 - Balanced XLR Mic-Level & Line-Level Audio over Cat5 & Cat5e Cabling

Cat5 Cable with XLR Audio Jacks

The challenge : Run two 200' cable runs for VOX (2-way communication via headsets) and an ambient microphone. Mics and headsets to be used for broadcast of major event via satellite, web, and all major local news outlets.

Solution :

Just Created: New Drupal Module "Gallery Archive"

Gallery Archive Project Page on drupal.org

I just created my second open source software project (for Drupal), Gallery Archive . This is the first Drupal module I've created, and I'm excited to be able to dive into many more APIs I've not yet interacted with. Drupal has been a great adventure in my life, and I'm finally getting good enough with 'drupal-fu' (like kung-fu, but in Drupal-speak) that I can come up with solutions to my own problems :)

Tabbing Between Fields in Google Chrome (vs. Tabbing through everything)

For some users, being able to tab through all clickable elements on a page is a blessing. For most, though, it's a curse (at least, in my experience). The default behavior of a browser should be to allow users to tab through form elements only (textfields, textareas, search forms, submit buttons, etc.).

For some time now, Google Chrome has only allowed users to tab through every. Single. Element. on the entire page. Luckily, there's

New Apple Store at the St. Louis Galleria

After having visited New York's four very large and unique Apple Stores, coming back and visiting the St. Louis Galleria Apple Store was somewhat of a letdown. The store has been reported to be the world's smallest mall Apple Store, and it was quite apparent upon entering.

The Galleria Store was known for being incredibly cramped, and one would often see many Apple employees training Mac users in the common areas around the Mall. One was lucky to be able to grab an Apple employee to simply make a

Convert .MTS file to .MOV or .MP4 on a Mac (for iMovie, etc.)

I recently received a few .mts files from a friend. These files are AVCHD high-definition video files from consumer-grade HD video cameras, and they've traditionally been a pain to work with.

If you have the files on your camcorder or an SD card from your camcorder, you can just open up iMovie '08 or iMovie '09 and click 'import from camera.' It'll take forever to transcode the files into something iMovie can use, but it will work. If

Chai-ed the Knot - Making 500 servings of Chai Tea Mix for Wedding Favors

Often, someone comes up with a brilliant idea, and later, upon realizing how much work the idea will take to come to fruition, the person gives up on the idea. However, when the idea is good enough, one might sacrifice quite a bit to make the idea reality.

Such was the case when, about six months ago, my then-fiancée and I decided we loved Chai Tea Latte. In fact, we became somewhat addicted to the substance. It didn't help that my

Married... Time-Lapse Video of Our Wedding

Below is a time-lapse video of my wedding, generously recorded/posted by my Aunt (I didn't even know she did it!). I will hopefully have some pictures to post to Facebook sooner or later, and will also be posting a few of those previously-promised posts about our wedding preparations to this site, and to my and my wife's wedding website .

Here's the video (the techno beat adds something... I just don't know what ;-
