A reliable source sent me a curious message: At the last minute, Sigma decided to delay the launch of the APS-C 12mm f/1.4 lens, which was supposed to be announced alongside the APS-C 17-40mm f/1.8 lens on June 17. Now, I’m not sure if he meant that all the different mount versions (E/X/L/RF) have been delayed or just some of them…

FujiFilm just announced the new X-E5 ( BHphoto , Amazon , Adorama , Fotoerhardt , WexUK ). Fuji keeps releasing APS-C cameras one of top of another. This is a market nearly completely neglected by Sony. I think they should make some $1000+ APS-C camera that can appeal to the younger generation that doesn’t necessarily want to spend $2000 on a FF camera!

Here are the first images of the new Sigma 12mm f/1.4 APS-C E-mount lens. It comes along a “bad” news. In very last minute Sigma postponed the announcement of this lens for unknown reasons. It should have been launched next week on June 17 along the new 17-40mm f/1.8 APS-C E-mount lens ( which I leaked on this post ).
