Short update: Two more sources confirmed the new 85mm f/1.4 GM II is coming. Still don’t have the release date but it really sounds very close. So I don’t know if the 85mm GM is coming before the ZV-E10II launch on July 10 or a tiny bit later…

Another source told me that the new Sony 85mm f/1.4 GM II will be announced within a few weeks. I don’t know yet whether it will be announced together with the ZV-E10II on July 10 or at a separate event (I think so). All we know about the new lens is that it will be more compact than its predecessor but with substantially improved image quality.

A newly published Tamron patent confirms the Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5,6-6,3 VR len s is actually a Tamron design. The following image shows the optical design from the patent compared with the official design of the Nikon:
