Opticallimits tested the new lens on the Sony and concluded:
The Laowa 85mm f/5.6 2x Ultra Marco APO is a good lens. It delivers a predictable performance across its aperture range. At medium aperture settings, it’s pretty sharp without being truly outstanding. Diffraction takes its usual toll at small apertures and it’s advisable to avoid f/22 at least. That’s also a good idea because of CAs.

They believe that Sony is likely to announce a new 100MP camera in 2022. This would have to be the new A7rV. I am not so sure about this yet. But we know Sony already has such kind of sensors in the works. Two years ago I reported about this new Sony sensor having 102 Megapixels and 6k recording. The specs are stunning:

Also Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki made it clear that 2022 will be a difficult year for both camera and lens makers. As I reported weeks ago, expect most Sony camera announcement to happen the second half of the year only.
