Ukrainian attacks on Russia kill 1 as Kyiv continues to target oil tankers and refineries

A Ukrainian attack in southwest Russia killed one person and wounded three more, local officials said Sunday, as Kyiv’s forces continued to bombard Russia’s oil facilities.

B.C. Wildfire Service calls for compliance amid reports of speeding and drone flights

The BC Wildfire Service is issuing a call for compliance, as two out-of-control wildfires continue to burn in the Fraser Canyon.

An overnight statement from the agency says that since Highway 1 reopened yesterday, between Boston Bar and Jackass Summit, drivers have been seen speeding through the fire zone and even stopping to film the ongoing firefighting efforts.

Ford and Unifor strike tentative deal for three-year labour contract

A new deal has been struck for a three-year labour contract between a union representing Canadian autoworkers and Ford Motor Co..

The tentative agreement covers roughly 5,000 workers at five plants in southern Ontario and one in Alberta.

2 people killed in mass shooting at Toronto’s Salsa on St. Clair festival

Two people were killed and at least five others were injured during a mass shooting at Toronto’s Salsa on St. Clair street festival Saturday evening.

In a social media post shared at 8:20 p.m., Toronto police issued a warning to the public about an active shooter at the site of the festival near St. Clair and Arlington Avenues.
