Police hunt underway for North York stabbing suspect

Toronto police are on the hunt for a man who is wanted in connection with a stabbing that happened in North York early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Finch Avenue West and Keele Street just after 2 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man with stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

1 person killed in North York blaze

One person was killed early Sunday morning after a fire ripped through a North York apartment building, authorities say.

Emergency crews were called to 1420 Victoria Park Avenue, near Eglinton Avenue, at approximately 2 a.m. for reports of a fire inside a unit on the fourth floor.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they located one person in the unit who was pronounced dead.

Two other individuals were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation and a firefighter was also treated for minor injuries.

1 dead, ‘numerous’ others critically injured in multi-vehicle Brampton crash

One person is dead, and “numerous” others have been seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Brampton.

Police in Peel Region say two vehicles collided at McVean Drive and Countryside Road around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
