TORONTO — Consultations on the future of the Toronto island airport will go ahead without detailed plans on a possible expansion.

At a tense annual general meeting, officials with Toronto Port Authority said no expansion plan for Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport had been finalized or would be released before newly launched consultations end on July 24.

“We are not putting out a plan in advance of that. We couldn’t even if we wanted to. We’re still working on a plan,” vice-president Deborah Wilson said

World Cup begins with Mexico hosting South Africa in opening match

4 suspects, including two 17-year-olds, arrested in Woodbine Beach stabbing

Four people have been arrested, including two 17-year-olds, in connection to a stabbing at Woodbine Beach last Friday.

Emergency crews were called to the east-end beach, located south of Lake Shore Boulevard East and west of Woodbine Avenue, just before 9 p.m. for reports of a fight.

Investigators say two victims were approached by a group of several suspects at Woodbine Beach. Then, a verbal and physical altercation allegedly occurred between the victims and suspects.

Ford government says cost of new Ontario Place parking garage less than $200M

The Ford government says the cost to build a new parking garage at the redeveloped Ontario Place will be less than $200 million.

Carney to visit Paris, Dublin ahead of G7 summit in French Alps

Ontario names and shames two ticket resellers it alleges broke new rules

TORONTO — Ontario is naming and shaming two ticket reseller sites the government alleges broke its new ticket sales rules.

The government has added SeatGeek and StubHub to its consumer beware list and said it has given the companies compliance orders, though it has not said which rules the companies are alleged to have broken.
