Origin announces two 17-inch laptops with 10th-gen Intel chips & RTX Super graphics

In brief: At just over 5 pounds (~2.3kg), Origin's 17-inch laptops are packing powerful internals in thin but sizable shells. There's no AMD Ryzen in sight, but an 8-core H-series Intel chip paired with an Nvidia RTX 2070 or 2080 Super does make for a respectable combo on these models, both of which start at around $2,000.

In terms of hardware and design, the new

Intel is making 28W Ice Lake chips exclusive to Apple's MacBook Pro

In brief: Laptop manufacturers haven't used Intel's 8th generation 28 W CPUs in their designs, so Intel appears to have decided that Apple is the only company that will be able to use the newer 28 W, 10th-gen Ice Lake parts. The same is true for its 10 W, Ice Lake Y CPUs.

Widespread reports indicate that Apple has been working on ARM-based CPUs for its Macs for years now, presumably to reduce its dependence on Intel chips that

Games from all Sony-owned PlayStation development studios will have a spiffy new animated logo. Sony revealed that all of its developers producing PS4 and PS5 content will now fall under the "PlayStation

Theaters to test the waters with retro blockbuster screenings

The big picture: As Coronavirus lockdown orders start to relax in some regions, the conversation is naturally turning to how we can get back to some semblance of normalcy. The path for movie theaters to resume operations, however, is a bit more complex than it is for other businesses.

In addition to coercing reluctant moviegoers back to the box office, operators will have to grapple with the dilemma of what exactly to show on their screens.

Many major studios have halted filming and postponed the release of major motion pictures as a
