Development on a new Witcher game to begin after Cyberpunk 2077's release

Something to look forward to: For many people, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains one of the greatest games of all time, so another entry in the universe is inevitable. Speaking in an interview with Eurogamer’s Polish language site , Kiciński said that a “relatively clear concept” had already been pinned down for the next Witcher

UK introduces 2% tax on search engines, social media services, and online marketplaces

Why it matters: Spain, France, and now the UK have all introduced their digital services tax for Big Tech, in an effort to address concerns about multinational corporations avoiding taxation in countries where they derive a profit without a physical presence. Until the OECD comes up with a solution that 137 countries can agree on, some governments feel that an interim solution is high on the priority list.

Last year, the Trump Administration vowed to impose significant import taxes on several French products after the latter country's government

Microsoft has appointed a Chief Scientific Officer for the first time

In brief: We've all heard of the traditional executive positions in a major corporation: the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and so on. However, Microsoft is expanding their standard Chief Officer line-up with a new role: Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).

This role is a first for Microsoft -- it's never had a CSO before, and probably never saw a need for one. However, as part of a broader "restructuring" effort, Eric

Unfortunately, E3's cancelation caused some collateral damage

A hot potato: The use of facial recognition by law enforcement is not just a hot-button issue within the United States. Privacy advocates around the world see it as a problem that violates fundamental human rights. India's parliament is the most recent to come under fire after admitting to using what some are calling an unreliable biometric system on its citizens.

Government officials in India have admitted that law enforcement agencies used a facial recognition program to identify more than 1,100 protesters during a February riot in the
