Check out the world's largest firework lighting up the sky

What just happened? Think you’ve seen some big fireworks? They’re nothing compared to the one launched in Colorado last Saturday night, which has been verified as the largest ever aerial firework. Weighing 2,797 pounds, its explosion briefly lit up the night sky.

The massive firework was set off at Colorado's Steamboat Springs annual winter festival. The 62-inch shell was launched from a 26-foot long motor that sat on top of Howelsen Hill, launching at 30

Facebook was warned in advance about the security issue that led to the 2018 data breach

In brief: Facebook engineers have revealed in court that the company ignored warnings about a potential security issue for nine months, only to have cybercriminals prove them right in 2018. And while they feel this could have been prevented, the company insists it was taken by surprise.

The social giant has vowed to do a better job with users' security, in light of a class action lawsuit that revealed a tale of mismanagement and ignoring repeated warning from employees in the 2018 incident that exposed the personal

Ill-fated looter-shooter Anthem will receive a complete gameplay overhaul soon

In context: 2019 brought its fair share of controversies in the video game industry, but chief among them was BioWare's Anthem. Anthem was billed as a multiplayer, story-driven, cooperative RPG experience with a "looter-shooter" gameplay style; not unlike what you'd see in a game like Destiny. The end result, though, was something else entirely. On release, Anthem was buggy, lacking in content, and had fairly unstable servers.

For those who hoped BioWare could

SpaceX's first crewed flight could happen on May 7

Something to look forward to: SpaceX CEO Elon Musk last month said he expected the company’s first crewed mission to take place in the second quarter, or sometime between April and June. We now may have a more firm date, if one report proves accurate.

Ars Technica’s senior space editor, Eric Berger, said Monday on Twitter that the working date for SpaceX’s Demo-2 mission is May 7. Before marking your calendar with ink, however, Berger further notes that the launch date is

Blood-drawing robots could speed up doctor visits

Bottom line: Few things are as unpleasant as having to get blood drawn at the doctor. The issue is only compounded if you get an incompetent nurse or have a history of being “difficult to stick” due to small or elusive veins. The whole experience could change drastically in the future, however, thanks to the development of an automated blood drawing robot.

The prototype, created by a Rutgers-led team , utilizes ultrasound imaging to help the robot find and puncture the vein. In testing with 31 patients

PSA: To celebrate Bioshock 2’s tenth anniversary, Sony is giving away The Bioshock Collection to PlayStation Plus members as one of February’s freebies (normally $60). Be warned, though; the save system for the bundled series has a serious flaw.

If you are planning to play through The Bioshock Collection , be aware that the save system has limited space to store your progress. The bundle only reserves a set amount of storage. This allocation is global as well, meaning that if you use

SimilarWeb described the magnitude of growth as “astounding

Capcom has officially removed Denuvo from Devil May Cry 5

DRM woes: DRM has never been a popular "feature" among PC gamers, but most of us have accepted it as a necessary evil; a headache we all have to live with to play the latest games legally. However, of all the forms of DRM, Denuvo is easily the most hated -- users have accused the "anti-tamper" software of slowing down PC performance and degrading SSDs. Still, companies continue to use it to block pirates and preserve early sales.

And, to that end,
