Disney+ now has 28.6 million subscribers

In a nutshell: Disney+ launched in November and is only available in a handful of countries, yet it managed to attract 26.5 million paying subscribers before 2019 was out. The company also revealed ESPN+ now has 6.6 million subscribers, while Hulu, where it has a controlling stake, has 30.4 million total customers.

LG won't be attending MWC due to Coronavirus fears

What just happened? The Coronavirus outbreak is continuing to affect the tech industry. LG Electronics has announced it won’t be attending this year’s Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, Spain. The news comes just after ZTE said it was canceling its MWC press conference, but the company backpedaled, later tweeting that it would be participating in the event as planned.

AMD updates its 'Raise the Game' bundle with new freebies for Radeon customers

MIT's 'RFocus' smart surface uses tiny antennas to amplify wireless signals by up to 10x

What just happened? Researchers at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) have developed a low-cost external antenna array that could significantly amplify wireless signals. With wireless devices getting smaller every day, this could be a viable solution to a real problem.

Qualcomm shows what 8K video looks like on a Snapdragon 865

In brief: Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon 865 chipset at its tech summit last December. Full specifications weren’t supplied at the time although there was an indication that the SoC would support 8K video capture. We now know that to be a fact and on Tuesday, Qualcomm shared the footage to prove it.
